bracket completed, much better! :good: have zebo'd the whole gun even the wood, it now matches the original oil stained 1928 stock i have here. am going to have to re drill and Tap both the sight mount holes and the back of the barrel and fit better bolts, the grub screws are ....well..... just shite! :x

hope you lads dont have as much trouble as me!

i used an m8 nut to space the rear hole of the bracket that holds the but plate swivel and mount as the angle is way off when you try to fit it in the stock!!!!!!
oh what fun
i think when i start making my guns they will be very worth the cost after seeing the rubbish out there at the moment! even the ally castings havent been finished to any good degree.
will shut up moaning now and go and get drunk :good:

My experience so far has been similar. I have been altering the inside of the reciever to get the gearbox into it.
My job involves looking at machined parts every day and these are by far the worst I have ever seen. I am in fact unsure how they managed to get such a poor finish.
I will be writing to AZR as well and would suggest they don't bother painting parts at all as customer will only have to remove it!
Chomley the only differences I am aware of between CYMA and TM are the outer barrel on the CYMA has a slightly better design to fix it to the reciever. The foregrip is retained by a vertical screw on the CYMA and a angled one on the TM.

Well my receiver is so bad it's almost funny. The sight housing is at an angle, the sight itself hasn't been painted and the finish is rougher than Pat Butcher. The paint seems to be from three different pots and applied with a decoraters brush and removing it from the paper started the flaking process.

This is so disappointing - the Garand kit was actually good but this is shockingly poor quality.

Well lucklity I got my front end kit ftom Gunners and it's superb so my plan is to strip down all the receiverm parts then undercoat and paint it flat black so it all matches. A good rub down and oiling and I should have a more than presentable m1928.

Of course, before then I've got to remove the whole sight mounting, re-align and re-attach it in the right place: it's totally on the p1ss.

I hope AZR take the time to read this thread - if they don't sort the quality they can forget any more orders from the UK or US.

Well I thought I'd see if the pistol grip fits over the motor on my Tommy...

Well it does, but again the screw hole is in the wrong place and the grip doesn't cover up as well as the CAW/Mosquito Molds one did. It will look better than a plastic grip though!

Well still working on mine
I have removed the paint and sanded the parts to get a smooth surface. I tripped the sight down and filed it to get it something like square and smooth. I am now loctiteing it together and will use chemical metal to fill gaps. i will then try Dougs tip of grate polish to darken it down. I too was lucky that the barrel I got from gunner is much better machined so I am altering the receiver to line up with it.#

Inspired by the above I decided to revisit my abandoned attempt at assembly.

Gah, what a bag of shite this is! Not really having any facilities other than a hammer, file, drill, hot glue and sand paper I think this will be relegated to the bits box for ever!
I can overcome the misaligned screw holes, bad paint finish, misaligned barrel/foregrip and even the bendy foregrip bar. What has defeated me though is the misalignment of the hop and gearbox air nozzle. As it sits naturally, the barrel points up by a few degrees. If forced down by putting on the outer barrel then the air nozzle bears against the inside of the hop chamber and on firing I can clearly hear the difference. Whether this will just reduce ROF or air pressure as well I don't know but it sure is putting some stress where there shouldn't be any.

Just discovered daughter has smashed LCD of home camera (without telling me) so will have to find the wife's camera so I can illustrate the problem!

your lack of tools saddens me david, please treat yourselft to a dremmel type tool and a few bits for it. i know it wont cure this problem, but they are ace for airsoft stuff.

Heh, I've got a rechargeable one but the battery has died - I should have got a mains powered one, no idea why I didn't. Even when the battery was working it didn't have much of a life (or power).

It's going to take a bit more than a dremmel to sort this out I think!

I can't believe they actually sold these to you! You should get compensation for receiving crap like that, AZR should be ashamed for selling a product that doesn't even fit properly!

Has this thread been emailed to AZR, it should be.
